Steve’s ID Team update

News

Kicking off the start of my ID Team journey with L’Oréal, was two days of inspiration at the Leeds academy. I couldn’t wait to meet the rest of the talent in the two year program, consisting of 33 other members.

As well as getting to know the team we were mentored by some top industry pros. Content creator for the brand Sherie, inspired us in all things social and taught us how to maximise our digital potential. We were talked through ways to make our work and individual brand visible.

We were also given a presentation by the stand out Brooks and Brooks artistic team. Following an inspiring Q&A, we were mentored on building a concept and allowing that idea to grow, no matter how crazy. Being taught how to hone these visions and pair them down to simplify, led us to a challenging team exercise of creating a look from random selections. What was so brilliant was how each member of the team brought different elements to the end result, showing the importance of team work.

Walking away from this experience made me more inspired that ever, and creatively ready to put what id learned into practise. Using my iphone, I shot the ideas I’d created, allowing me to see how my concepts can look on an image.

I cant wait to learn more and am so excited for the next part of the journey. In December we will be working backstage at the legendary Central Saint Martins on their annual White Show, consisting of 150 models!

Over the following months, we will be traveling around the country working with some of the best in the industry. Stay tuned for more of my journey on the RW blog…
